My name is Niki Blasina and I am A Haute Mess.

A Haute Mess is fashion and lifestyle with a healthy injection of humor and fun. I primarily report on style, industry news, trends, market reports, pop culture and entertainment.  

A Haute Mess was named one of the Top Fashion Blogs in Canada by MSN in 2010 and ever since, and it has received international publicity including features in FLARE, FASHION, VOGUE Paris, Glamour, Seventeen, and Daily Candy. I have collaborated and hosted events with international fashion brands and publications, and I'm currently a national spokesperson with Schick Quattro for Women.

I live in New York City, where I am completing my Master's degree at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.

Prior to starting at Columbia, I had worked as a fashion and lifestyle publicist, then became a full-time blogger and freelance writer. I have written for MTV Canada, the Huffington Post, Complex Magazine, FASHION Magazine, among others, and I had regular appearances on CTV News Channel.

I am originally from Vancouver, BC, and perpetuate most Canadian stereotypes; I am a die-hard Vancouver Canucks fan. I am a fashion, sports, politics, entertainment, and travel enthusiast, a beach bum, and a professional Wii athlete. I will challenge anyone to a game of Mario Kart -- and win.
